FF13, MW:2, Heavy Rain - all games that some people would consider amazing quality titles but i think where pretty crap and were not worth the retail price.
I think Demons Souls is amazing, my friends 10 year old son thinks its crap. He'd rather be playing stuff like Iron Man 2 so how do you gauge which one is truly worth the money ?

I think we should wait and see some gameplay footage before everyone writes the game off. It may well turn out not to be a "real" MGS game but it could be a good game in its own right.
